Bridges to the PhD Programs

The Bridges to the PhD Programs are supported by grants from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences and administered at partner California State University (CSU) campuses. The aim is to increase the number of PhD researchers among the vast pool of untapped, underrepresented talent in the Southern California area. The program complements existing transitional and undergraduate training programs with similar objectives.  CSU Los Angeles (CSULA), CSU Fullerton (CSUF) and UC Irvine offer the cooperative program leading to the MS degree at CSULA or CSUF and the PhD degree at UC Irvine.
